who do you use? Need to send a revolver to taurus and may send a smith out for custom work soon
Great question. I need to send a revolver to Taurus as well.
I use FedEx for handguns. Better customer service hours than UPS at the local hub.
UPS or FedEx....both cost about the same. Has to be over night.
ill ship this broken wheelgun soon, hopefully theyll fix it and then i can sell it
I only shipped one once.
I had to send my early S&W 686 back
for the firing pin replacement.
I sent it registered mail.
Federal offense in 5,4,3,2,1...
Now, yes... but that wasn't always true... some folks have been on the planet longer than others.
Then why even bring it up? The OP wants to know the best way today. Gas used to be 28 cents a gallon but who cares today?
If I'm selling it goes USPS and if it for repair or modification UPS.
Thanks for sticking up for the old fool.
I haven't shipped a gun for nearly thirty years.
I shouldda kept my mouth shut.
Yet, they got nothing helpful from you... old or new?
Thanks for stopping by...
Not sure about best but my guess is that if one could get their FFL to send it by USPS it might be less expensive. I would also guess that it costs the manufacturer less to send a call tag then it does for us to ship it to them.
Used FEDEX a couple of times and very happy with their service.
I use FedX but never overnight.
cheapest way would be to find a ffl that will send it for you. he can send it to them in flat rate box for 10 bucks.
if you send it yourself, you can use fedex or UPS. you will need to send it next day air which will cost a lot. but it will be sent back to you directly
usps, CHEAP FIXED RATE BOX.
unfortunately only FFL to FFL can use USPA to ship handguns
I have only every sent back stuff through FedEx.
Never a complaint and things always got there on time with good tracking.
