Can anyone tell me what is the most popular selling Glock 40 as of now?

I have been told it was the G-22 which I own.

    Thanks.

Honestly I would think you'll have at least two answers for this question. Civillian market and Law Enforcement market. Kind of hard to say exactly I think because each model has its specific role.

    G24 - Primarily competition.
G35 - Just as it is called, practical/tactical. Great for competition, hunting, Law Enforcement (both patrol and SWAT), and defense.
G22 - Shorter version of the 35 but still good for all the listed items.
G23 - Perfect for Law Enforcement (once again, both patroll and SWAT), defense, and perfect for concealed carry.
G27 - Good conceal carry, defense, and backup weapon.

Those are just my opinions on the .40 cal Glocks. I personally would have to say if looking at civilian market as far as defense, the G23. Law Enforcement, G22 for patrol and if haven't already switched, G35 for any kind of tactical units.

    I'll take a 35 and 23. ;I

    WAD, the G23.

Many LEAs issue the compacts to their investigators and detectives including the FBI.

I'd guess 22 then 23 also. Especially considering LEO sales.

When I was looking for my G23 this time last year I had several dealers tell me that the G23 and G19 were the two best selling Glocks out there. Now admittedly these people probably dealt with the public more then LEOs but...

Edited to add: Just realized this was post # 1000 for me. So much for having a light frivilous fluff post, but nevermind...

.....and don't forget the G17 military contact guns. Can't give you a figure, but it's more than a few.

    "Most popular selliing Glock models"

    1.G-22

    2.G-23

    3.G-17

    4.G-27

    5.G-19

    6.G-21

    7.G-26

    8.G-36

    9.G-30

The article was by Massad Ayoob about the mini-glocks. The figures appear to be U.S. Domestic sales but the article states no source.

According to Glock, the #1 seller in the USA is the G22.

Back in October 2002 when I was looking for a G23 I was told by more than one dealer "Goodluck on a 23, LEO's are buying them as fast as we get them in". I finally found a 2nd gen with high cap Mags.

I don't trust Yoobie or those figures.

Civilian sales of Glocks surpass LEO sales. And remember, stokcing dealers last year wher being "forced" to buy G17s in order to get the harder to find Glocks like the compacts. So that speaks loads.

No source means not credible to me. Typical gun rag writer.

all I know is that the compact and subcompact Glocks sell like hotcakes to civilians and local detectives so I'm questioning Yobbie's numbers.

Not too professional for a writer to omit a cite or a reference or frame his data provide;Q
