Funny to hear that it is too big for pocket carry - I've been doing that very thing for 2-3 days now. Wow, what was I thinking?

2 years and well over a thousand trouble free rounds from my PF9. Nickel plated the slide for a better finish when the bluing rubbed off. But like M2 says, it's a pocket pistol if you have big enough pockets. Bought a hard chrome LCP and it goes everywhere with me because of its ease to slip in the pocket...a true pocket pistol.

Do you have a test shoot thread? If so, linky?

If not, how does it compare to shooting the PM9? If less recoil, why? Heavier? Wider grip?

Stuff like that I'm curious about, even though I like my PM9 :)

PF-9 is what I use. I'm not a 9mm fan and a pocket pistol is the only reason I would own a 9mm.

+1,000rds of steel cased, JHPs and lead reloads with a hiccup.

Very last post on this thread:

There is less recoil on the Shield compared to the PM9. I actually went to buy a P9 Kahr last Sat - I rented one first, and full intended to go inside and buy one after. Recoil to me on the P9 was the same as the PM9 I have - workable, but not fun to shoot. The Shield shoots almost like a much larger gun. I put 215 rounds thru the gun, and I probably could have shot another 200. The first time I took my PM9 to the range (2 years ago) and put 150 thru it, my hand was sore afterwards.

I really like Sigs and want to test out the P224. Have you fired or dry fired the P290. The trigger is about 9lbs or so and I have yet to meet anyone who has liked it except for its size.
