Would anyone post where they've found the best place to purchase ammo is online?

    Thanks!

-- The reason I ask is that I've always found online ammo prices to be about the same as in-town ammo prices. And - online you have to pay a good amount for shipping. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.

If anyone's interested in selling - I may be looking for 9mm, .40cal, and now the .357Sig.

http://www.miragetechnologies.net/ (Call or email for prices - VERY GOOD)

These are the only places I order ammo from anymore. So far, everything has been first-rate, high-quality merchandise, with excellent customer service, at MUCH, MUCH better prices than I can find locally.

EX. Mirage - 50 rd Speer Gold Dot 124+P 9mm, $15/box. Locally, if you can even find it, it is that price for a 20 rd box. Shipping was $7/3 boxes, and no tax.

EX. Streichers - 50 rd Federal 9BPLE 115 +P+ 9mm, $12/box. Shipping $6.95/3 boxes, and $5 ammo surcharge. Still worlds cheaper than anywhere locally, if they even had it.

Just a word about Natchez--they charge a flat "box fee" on top of the S&H (or used to the last time I bought from them).

It's not much, but if I'm ordering from them, I make sure I am buying a lot of ammo at once so that the fee has a lower percentage impact on my purchase.

while the prices fluctuate, cheaperthandirt.com generally has really good deals on the cheap stuff, and free shipping ($3 ammo fee) over $150. just paid less than $6.50 per box for 9mm 115gr winchester that i recently paid $10 locally.

sadly, walmart doesn't sell ammo here in NYC like they did in CA.
