What do you think is the best OWB holster for concealed carry?

It would have to hold the gun close to the body and position the gun up high so that your shirt covers it.

I'm curious as to those that carry outside the waistband, what do you prefer for summer carry?

What kind of gun are you looking to carry?

All of the top tier holster manufacturers make first rate units. I really don't believe that one is appreciably better than another. From my experience a high and tight belt slide pancake style conceals very well. Avoid holsters with the belt retention on top of or directly behind the holster body because that will add thickness and compromise concealability.

I still think it is hard to go wrong with the Glock Sport holster for under $15. At least do yourself a favor and try it before you spend a bundle on other brands. Holds mine high and very tight to the body when used with a good quality gun belt (Beltman, for example).

I happily carry my G26 (or G23) in a Glock Sport Combat or Comp Tac Paddle.

    High and tight.

K&D makes a great holster. Carry my G27 every day in one.

Take a look at the Mitch Rosen Upper Limit, in the Express Line. Really good holster for the price and the wait isn't bad at all for the EL.

For OWB, I've always liked the leather "pancake" type holsters. Galco "Combat Master", DeSantis "Speed Scabbard", Dillon "Master", etc. For me, they lay flatter under a jacket or loose shirt than the kydex jobs, and are all-day comfortable.

Glock combat holster. It dissapears even under a semi tight t-shirt.

I carry my 27 OWB in a Galco Concealable. Fits tight to the body and rides high. I have a Galco Combat Master for my 22 but I like the design of the Concealable much better.

Agreed; I have an MTAC and several other IWB's, and I probably wear this one the most (G26). I got mine for $7; can't beat that even if you didn't end up liking it!

Is anyone on here using one of the Glock Sport Combat Holsters with a G21? How well does it conceal with the full size Glocks? I was getting ready to order one online because my Don Hume IWB is pretty uncomfortable with the 21. I figured I'd check and see if any of you use it for the 20 or 21 since they're the two largest guns Glock makes.

Check out Alessi's CQC/S...haven't gone IWB in a very long time since I've found mine for my G33.

A Comptac Paddle holds close as well.
