I preferred the Wendy's hamburger when it came on a sesame seed bun. I would order one plain, no toppings, no cheese and wash it down with a soft drink. Since they changed the bun I don't care for them as much.

And around here some fast food places have open dining areas and some do not. Go figure.

Worst Wendy's experience ever was a fairly new restaurant in South Haven Mi. Filthy dirty, kids working behind the counter and in the kitchen, no adults to be seen. Got Frosty's only.

I used to enjoy Wendy's, but it's been quite a while since I've gotten anything fresh there.

All this Wendy's talk. Double Baconator with chili and a Frosty for me.

West by God Virginia, i.e. a continent away from you.

Mixed bag here. McDonalds dining room closed, Wendys open but limited # admitted, etc etc. Our governor imposed a mask mandate this past Monday, but it is without penalty or enforcement. Just public pressure, and businesses have more confidence requiring them. The mandate specifically exempts you from wearing a mask while eating or drinking, so a lawyer friend and I were joking this morning we should just walk around with coffee mugs everywhere we go lol. Totally in compliance.

Washington Governor "doctor" insley, inflicted a mandatory mask policy. If businesses do not require all workers and customers to wear masks, no business can be conducted, under threat of fine, jail and loss of license, EVEN THOUGH, no law has been legislated into affect.

Remember when Wendy's was making burgers on pretzel buns for a few years? It wasn't even that long ago, but long gone now just like curly fries at Hardee's. Must've cost them a penny more or something.

BTW, Best fast food chain ever. This is an example of the buildings they left behind. Anybody else know this???

I like Wendy’s just fine, but I haven’t eaten in a FF joint (or any type restaurant) since Jan. Well, except for the pizza place up the street where they just hand me a box with my slices and I head back home to eat ‘em.
I never even went for my free birthday sub from Jersey Mike’s.

Yes! And let me tell ya, I LOVED the Red Barn! They had burgers, fish sandwich, fried chicken, and salad bar. That was some radical variety back in the late 60's - early 70's. I had a little 45rpm record of their mascots, "The Hungries" singing their signature tune, "When the Hungries hit, When the Hungries hit, Hit the Red Barn!" Fast food looms large in the mind of the 7 year old.

I remember that it was like in the 1980's. Last time I cheeked they were $4 each.

Arby's used to have the Arby's Sauce and Horsey Sauce out on the table in squeeze bottles, like the ketchup and mustard ones we've all seen at some point. You didn't have to beg for the little dribble packs. Of course, if they did that now I wouldn't touch 'em, but once upon a time ...

Do you remember when Friendly's used to serve their burgers on toast? No more, I don't think you can even request it now.... IIRC it was (FRIENDLY ICE CREAM NO'S)

Mask and Gloves, fine, but I tended bar in two restaurants into the pandemic and right before the shutdown. Even pre-Covid, what goes on in kitchens is interesting at best, including fast food joints. Now with Covid, people may wear gloves but they do not change them every time they touch something new. I either cook at home now or get take out of something I will be re-heating before eating.

The best fast food IMO is Arby’s . But I could almost eat at Texas Roadhouse for the same price .

I am happy that I rarely eat fast foods .

Around 1980 I was doing a major, States-wide, motorcycle cruise (from NJ to WI to southern CA to Key West, FL to NC). I knew that I was in Texas, when I saw a sign: "Next McDonald's ONLY 104 miles" on I-10.

Arby's is damn good, so is Wendy's but I also like a fried fish joint like Captain D's or Long John Silvers. Malt vinegar, crispy crunchies and slaw....

I know better than to eat any of the stuff more than once or twice a year but when I do I go all in.
