What's your best lefty-friendly folding knife? I like the Benchmade 710 Axis lock. It's as close to a lefty friendly production folder as I can think of.

The Benchmades, with the reversable clip....... I carry an Osborne model every day. Love it.

Spyderco, stainless Native with reversible clip. The black polymer handled ones are nice, but the notch where the clip attaches to the handle wears out after awhile, and makes it alot harder to keep the clip tight. Problem solved with the Stainless version.

I also like the Benchmade 710 with the axis lock. The axis lock on any of their models is the most left hand friendly knife that I have used.

I have a left handed Emerson Commander, although I never carry it. I think there is a lot of merrit to carrying your folder on the week (right) side. For defensive purposes it makes the knife available for a HG retention tool and for a non gun fight I've got my good hand svailable for regular fighting and I've augmented my week hand with something that will make it more effective... balancing my attack if you will.

For uiliity uses I can always switch. I'm reasonably ambi any way so most of the time I just use the knife in my right hand.

I have a Commander for my right side too. Gotta love that wave.

One thing I am considering is a knife to wear IWB behind my belt buckle, angled for left handed access. Its tough to find the right blade for there since it needs to be thin, big, reversible clip, without sharp angles on the handle that dig into you.

I carry a CRTK M-16 that has the little knob on the back spine that allows easy opening with either hand. I carry it on the right side and have no problem opening it. Plus, I think the quality is as good or better than most knives and the cost is $50-65 dollars.

I actually prefer to carry a knife on my right(off) side. For once I feel like I made out better than the righties ;e

I just bought a Mini-Griptilian Benchmade with a tanto combo blade. It has a reversible clip and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

It will be my first BM knife. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up to my older Spyderco, among others.

Whether they're the "best" or not have found SOG's Flash & Blink to be essentially true LH knives.

    Speedrock-

That's why I asked what your best lefty-friendly knife was, as it's all subjective.

Anyone have any high-end stuff, lefty Sebenzas, etc?

I have found the same to be true and I carry M16 in the same manner as you do.

    Hi 7677,

I too carry a CRKT M16 on a daily basis on my right front pocket. As inexpensive as they are I don't worry about losing it either.

    Bo,

Well then, the LH Sebenza have is certainly the most LH friendly have ever owned. Opens & closes easily with one hand. Like the idea that it is designed to be completely disassembled too.

SOG, Benchmade, CRKT, and Spyderco have models that are reversible. I believe that Cold Steel may have some also. Also Emerson will make the Commander or Mini Commander in reverse, as someone said. I've also been rethinking which side to carry on, although for utility purposes left side is best.

The SOG Pentagon Elite is a great choice for lefties or righties imho. It has a reversable clip, is available with a 4" or 5" blade and utilizes what SOG calls an "Arc-Lock".

The Arc-Lock is similar to Benchmade's Axis-Lock, however I find it quite a bit easier to open and close the SOG's Arc-Lock with one hand.
