Did this today with an old Winchester made in 1956 with Redfield Olympic iron sights. The SK ammo was pretty consistent with group size and most left a bit of center. The Eley Target was more centered but larger groups. All five rounds at 50 yards. I have some 100 yard iron sights targets I might try next weekend.

The two guns on the left are set up with Redfield Palma sights. I used to shoot .22 Silhouettes ( Rams at 100 yards ) with them. very accurate sights.

I'd like to try silhouette with a RimFire but not sure I can shoot offhand. I'm going to try a CMP match in October with an AR, be my first rifle match.

Bill you have some nice rifles. I'm trying to catch up to you, bought a Shultz & Larson, Brno, and Walther in last few weeks. I'll pick them up next time I'm home.

Tried it at 100 yards today with SK Match. Only shot three targets and this was best by far.

Yes 52C, targets are NRA small bore 50 and 100 yard so it correct target for distance.

Once you pick the right insert for the front sight so that the field of view just leaves a sliver of white around target black; it really is a piece of cake. That and the vernier rear sight make it easy to shoot at set ranges like Silhouette's

I really like an iron sight like that better than a scope.
