    I sort of a Glock novice and I'm spoiled. I love 1911's with nice crisp trigger jobs...about 3.5 - 4 lbs.

Knowing this, what would be the best Glock (29 for what it's worth) trigger set up for me as a carry gun? I'm used to lighter pulls, but not sure about Glocks. I'm really looking for "crisp" more than "light".

Some say the 3.5 lb is too light for Glocks. Some say 3.5 lb with a 12 lb spring. Others say replace it altogether with aftermarket set up. So thought I'd ask what you guys think.

A 1911 guy is never going to be satisfied with a Glock trigger. You can spend all the money you want on it but at the end of the day it's still a Glock trigger. I leave my Glocks' triggers stock.

I agree with the above...Why not get a 1911 to carry?

    I don't own a 1911 that hasn't had a professional trigger job.

    I don't touch a Glock trigger.

They're good for they're for. No more, no less. I've had safety issues fiddling around with connectors and springs, not worth it. I can effectively shoot a Glock as well as a 1911 anyway.

    stock trigger.

FWIW the 4.5# connector (formerly the 3.5# connector) is not for carry use.

The ghost rocket connector cut at an angle is the closest I've found. See the instructions on ghostinc.com under the dave spaulding cut tab.

I'll warn you right up front to be careful with it but I have a g19 that I carry and am used to it.It has a 3.5 trigger and a 4lb firing pin spring and I also did a trigger job on it.It is as smooth and crisp as a 1911.There is no mushiness or creep at all.It breaks clean and crip at about 3 to 4 lbs.You won't find another like it.I even had a friend of mine shoot it who is used to 1911's and he couldn't get over how smooth it is. sj :supergrin:here is a pic of it.

I'm not really looking for TARGET grade trigger, just something to make it break a bit cleaner.

Cleaner is the key word! I don't think you should try to make it like a 1911, but you can make it smooth. You need to do a very thorough job of smoothing all the bits that rub against other bits and you need to fit a factory smothed connector. My experience is that Glock connectors are not smooth enough and my only experience with after market connectors is with Ghost. i find them to be very smooth and I would recomend the Tactical rather than the Rocket. It is a little heavier but crisper. Ghost's web site tells you how to fit it and if you hunt around you will find more information on the web.

You can also make yours a lot smoother just by carefuly smoothing out the trigger bar, everywhere that touches each other. sj

    +1

I love the ghost trigger connectors, and have one on my carry g33. Gun has been 100% reliable.

Start off with .25cent trigger job. After doing that with my G34 (which comes with the '-' connector) made the pretravel a lot smoother and break crisper.

FWIW it's always going to be a DAO with pretravel whether it be smooth or mushy..

Nonsense, makes little difference. Your safety is don't press the trigger unless you have reason. My carry G27, & carry G22 have them.
