Best duty was Permanent Party, Hdqrtrs Company at Ft. LeonardWood. REMFs had to look WAY over their shoulder to see me.
Lived in "inadequate officer quarters". Enlisted personnel could rent them for a song if we just cleaned and painted. Went from a WWII barracks to a two story townhome. Just a few short hours to Table Rock Lake for camping, boating, skiing and great parties. It helped that my in-laws lived in Springfield, MO. and had a cottage on Table Rock. Branson was just a good spot to put in the North Fork of the White River for float trips and camping!
This was all in the early '70s before Branson exploded.

I did not have a problem with the army it was a good experience. My dilemma come down to: stay in and make 35k a year or get out with my education and MOS experience and make $250,000+ a year, I am loyal to my wallet.
It's not even Duetschland anymore. The damn migrants are everywhere in Berlin and Munich raping and Jihad. Then again America is not even America anymore somehow somewhere it was turned into Africa and Mexico.
I love Maine. Once or twice a year I will go back to America to visit my parents but I visit them in CT (where they live). I only like the New England part of the U.S.
The only part of America that even looks like the America we immigrated to is New England, if my family wanted to move to Africa or Mexico we would have just moved there instead of the U.S.
Oh nice. SD is a relatively conservative part of CA due to the military population there. It is a shame that a city like SF with so much Naval history is the most literal ****ty city in America (and really the Western World).
SF use to be the envy of the western world, everybody use to want to go to California regardless if they were born in NY, Ohio, Texas, Vermont or where-ever it is they come from. Even those outside of the U.S. those living in Japan, Germany, the U.K., Sweden, Italy, etc etc everybody wanted to go to San Francisco. Now you could not pay me enough money to visit a city where I have to dodge piles of **** like IEDs in Afghanistan. That is third world living conditions, in many worse worse than such.
