I took a trip up to College Station on the 28th and the Paint Brushes and Blue bonnets were just starting to Bloom along SH 6.
I told the Wife we would make a Blue Bonnet run when they hit full Bloom.
What is the best Blue bonnet run out of Houston from SH 290?

290 has alway been a good area. They are getting silly thick around here as well, of course, that means along the side of 1604. Not quite a beautiful drive....

I was thinking about heading to Brenam and cutting North, then Swinging around Washington on the Brazos.

I do love this time of year when Texas turns blue!

For those that dont know, this is what Texas roads start to look like this time of year.

Hwy 6 off of 290 going towards College Station has a lot of really nice fields and roadside flowers. A lot of the properties welcome visitors to come take pictures.

Did the 68 mile Bluebonnet Express on my bicycle a couple weekends ago, enjoyed it so we hit the same part of the country(Waller) last weekend for some more Bluebonnet viewing.

I did a little studying and believe I will take SH 290 west to giddings, turn south onto SH 77 run down to La Grange, hit SH 71 take that to Schullenberg, then run I-10 back into the loop.
We went up last year, we will try down this trip.
