One drawback to the S1 IS seems to be lack of an autofocus assist lamp. Other than that, it has what I'm looking for, although 3.2 mp is about the bottom end. Any other feedback or suggestions in the $350-$400 range?

    Nice camera.

I saw some shots taken at a sports car race. Very nice quality.

Focus for indoor snapshots could be a problem since low light focus can be a pain from what I have read. No first hand experience.

You should be able to blow up a 3.2 megapixel image to 8x10 inches or so. Beyond that I would doubt. That is the only thing holding me back from buying it for use as a travel camera. For travel situations the lens range is an asset.
