For those familiar with the Beretta pistols, I was wondering if there is a Beretta 96G (.40cal S&W) Made in Italy?...so far I can only find 96G Made in USA.
Believe or not, I asked the same question in the Beretta forum and nobody but one person responded with: " You should post this question on other forums. I'm also interested to know"..:shocked:

Both of mine are marked USA. My guess is no. I'm not sure but I doubt that .40 is very popular over the pond since 9mm is so rampant.

A member of this forum suggested to call BerettaUSA and ask them the same question so I did and their answer was that the Beretta 96G (.40 S&W) slides are NOT around in Europe, they were made here only for the US market.

So, now we all know!....:thumbsup:

I had a Beretta 96 made in Italy. It was very nicely finished but quality was poor. After a few hundred rounds it looked like a beat up gun. The "paint" had pealed off the barrel, pealed of completely from the guide rod, and was showing advanced wear in many areas and contact surfaces. I sold that gun and bought a Glock.
