Carry a GL 33 & shoot it fairly accurately. Recently purchased a GL 19 with a JP red dot sight which my aged eyes shoots very accurately. So my question ..... Is it acceptable for an obviously under qualified participant to enter a higher class for the purpose of experience and education. Obviously I am not as concerned with the match outcome as much as I am with the experience of the event.

Your G33 may be entered in the following categories:
    1. Amateur Subcompact
    2. Amateur Civilian
    3. Amateur Competition
    4. Master Stock
    5. Masters/Unlimited

    Your best choice is #1

Your G19 with Red Dot Scope/Sight may only be entered in Masters/Unlimited.

sure you can shoot any class you want regardless of your odds of winning to get more trigger time. i use to shoot the master classes as a warm up for the amature classes. the red dot gun is only legal in UL and there's no reason you couldn't shoot the class.
