Why should we listen to a kook like Glenn Beck?
He's the nut who predicted that leftists would stage violent European-style protests in this country...Which happened...And that "calmer" and more "level-headed" people (specifically Van Jones) would try to step in to occupy the vacuum left by these protests...Which is happening...And that Obama would align himself with a bunch of socialists and communists...Which happened...
Uh -- never mind...
The Fed is nothing but the ultimate untouchable organized crime family.
Beck is the most schizophrenic talking head I've ever seen.

And, of course, more importantly, he is a conservative, which makes him dangerously unhinged, right?
Poor, but obvious, strawman. If you wanted me to expand on my thought just ask.
Beck is schizophrenic because he can't figure out which side of an issue he's on any given day. This same guy that's railing about how much of a scam the Fed is (and I agree that it is a scam) will tomorrow be advocating the 1.5 trillion dollar a year foreign policy. Surely Beck knows that this foreign policy budget is exactly the amount of yearly deficits being racked up by the federal government, which is mostly financed by US gov't debt being bought by the.....wait for it......Federal Reserve! This is only one example of his extreme cognitive dissonance.
Sorry, you still sound like you just don't like conservatives. Try again?
No response to my post eh?
Not liking it is not the same as none.
Whatever that means.
I'm a fan of Beck because I think he's done some important work, and continues to.
However, you're spot on about the schizophrenia. There are some days I listen to him and scratch my head.
Document that figure please.
It's a rough figure but around $750B is official DoD budget, another $500B spent on various ongoing war efforts, remaining couple hundred billion on subcategories like DoE, Coast Guard, foreign aid programs, etc. This also doesn't account for any covert operations that are funded off the books. The total official figure is more like $1.3T but I rounded up to account for those off-book projects since gov't figures are always lower than actual cost.
