I know many of you saw my recent thread about vintage Hi-Powers. Here it is if you missed it. http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1436998 Anyway, the first one arrived at my dealer today and I just picked it up. Its the 1960 version and its beautiful in every way. The quality of these pistols was incredible 50 years ago. The parts fitting, the bluing, and attention to detail is so much nicer than the 10 year old Portuguese model I own. As I've stated, the Hi Power has my vote as the 2nd best looking pistol ever built. I put the 1911 at the top, but the HP is a very close 2nd and I think it certainly looks better than many 1911 variations. It just a very sleek, elegant pistol and these early internal extractor models exemplify that. The Browning Hi Power is my favorite 9mm of all time and I felt the need to add some examples of the best to my collection. This one was listed as unfired and after inspection, but I believe that was accurate. Thoughts? Please enjoy the pics. I love the bluing on this model. Its one of the best looking pistols I've ever seen, let alone own. Look how perfect the 52 year old walnut grips are as well. Its an amazing specimen. It really is. As you can see, its got the original leather pouch and all.
