Not a poll/pole, just your opinion on the best bbq ribs you have ever had.

Mine is Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous in downtown Memphis.

Fresh off my smoker, dry rubbed with my custom blend and no sugary sauce needed. Love em!

The Rolling Stone bar/restaurant on Hwy 61 in Newport, MN. No longer there but, it was to die for. I hadn't been there since around 1980.

I might add... these were big meaty beef ribs. A big pile about 6 inches or so high.

My own from the hole in the ground I made with fire brick wall and 3/4" iron recessed round lid where I set the fire. 8 hours later, and you will be committing a sin if you even think about putting ANY type of sauce or glaze on them. Well made ribs, don't need any of that crap!:eat:

They opened a Dreamland in Muscle Shoals and it was terrible. Lasted less than 6 months. I doubt it was the same people but don't know that for sure.

BB King's in Vegas. It sucks it closed and I haven't been to their other locations, so my remembrance is getting old.

    Recently, Joe's in KC.

Chuck's Southern Comforts in Burbank, IL can smoke a chicken though. Skip the sauce.

Have you ever been to Neely's Interstate BBQ or the Rendezvous?

I've eaten at Neely's location in the Memphis airport. It was pretty good.

The Rendezvous can be inconsistant - some of the best I've had were there - and some of the worst I've had were there.

My current pick in Memphis is the BBQ Shop
(The food network recently voted them #1 ribs in the US)

I think the best I've had, were the one's I cooked in a Big Green Egg.

Dreamland is pretty good - I've been to the DT Birmingham and Hoover locations.

Most of the Beale Street ribs are from Sysco - a friend is in the food business and sells to BB Kings.

When the Rendezvous is on their game, yep can't beat them. I have been there and it be so so. I just figure a hangover from the night before by the cooks.
