My 14yo daughter is 6' tall and wears a size.......

    wait for it.........

    ..............12 shoe.

Her Nike size 12 basketball shoes are very tight lengthwis - call them short. Her Asics volleyball size 12 shoes fit perfectly. Can a cobbler stretch the Nikes a bit longer? Even in Dallas size 12 shoes are really tough to find and she has 4 games this weekend. Even if we order the same Nikes in 12.5 they won't be here in time and they will not be broken in.

Wow, 12.5 is hard to find?, or just hard to find in Womens shoes? I would think Shoe Carnival, Finish Line... You might even try like Dicks Sporting Goods...

As for the Cobbler.. call one and ask him.

I don't know about the cobbler, but why not just buy mens sneakers?

She'd be around 10.5 in mens, which is an extremely common size.

Most people with any problem solving skills would just get some men's shoes... perform the same function, unless your daughter is into fashion statements on the basketball court

I wasn't gonna really ask why no mens shoes.. but I thought maybe there was a particular color she had to wear, that was not allowed in men's sizes.

Probably not at 14... even in HS they usually where black or white. College is different, but then the shoes are provided for you...

I wear a 12.5 in a very popular Nike running shoe and can't find it except online or at specialty running stores. Not surprising that a women's basketball shoe is tough to find in 12.5. Zappos only had 1 actual basketball shoe in 12.5.

If it were 5 hours earlier he could have had them tomorrow.

At this point I'd try the mens shoe route unless she's terribly opposed to it.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Sorry 12 in women's. The cut off seems to be 11. All men's shoes are too wide for her.

Well, I think my problem solving skills are top notch, thank you.

According the the guy at a well known local shoe store; I can't simply buy the same shoe in 10.5 or 11 men's. And we've tried this in the past. The proper length men's shoes are too wide at least regarding Nike's.

Agreed. I hate Nikes for me. You would not believe how narrow her feet are. I'll try to take a pic of one of her shoes.

You may have to shop around to find someone who can properly fit her. Lots of places sell shoes, very few know how to fit them. Can't help with the short term but if you find the right shoe store your long term chances are much improved.

I used to love Nikes to play basketball in but I have pretty big feet (more wide than long) and they always seem to be smaller than other shoes. If you have a new balance store anywhere near you take her there. Even if they are mens sizes they will find a shoe that fits her perfectly....

New Balance is a strong contributor to our problem. She has a pair of NB ladies 12 shoes that fit her feet perfectly and she loves them. Her Asics 12 volleyball shoes have custom foot-beds or insoles (like ski boots sometimes have) that makes them fit perfectly as well.

Unless her BB coach relents it's a specific Nike or the bench. Although he really needs her to play so maybe I can push the point a bit.

She's right at 6'1" with her volleyball shoes on.

I'm 6'3" my wife is 6' and a little more. I'm the shortest man in my close family by quite a bit and my wife's family has lot of very tall women. An aunt is 6'3".

Kiddo broke a toe a while back and the doc said her growth plates are not quite fused so she might grow another inch or so.
