What's the basic, minimum set of tools I need to work on my Glock? I will be mainly doing detail stripping for cleaning and parts replacement.

    A hammer?
    A punch? what size? nylon/brass?

    thanks for the help.

Get a Glock tool. That will do everything except move the magazine release spring. Use a small scrrewdriver for that task.

    No Hammering!

I have often detail stripped a Glock using a small allen wrench as a punch - for disaseemby, assembly and replacement of anything except the sights, that's the whole tool box.

+1 They cost $6.00 at Glockmeister or Topglock, worth every penny!!!!!

    NO HAMMERING!!!

I personally have the Glock tool, spare stock recoil spring assembly, cleaning kit and a small straight edge screwdriver in my range bag...

    Happy New Year!!

I use a 3/32 punch from Craftsman easily obtained at Sears.A small flat screw-driver and a pair of needle-nose pliers.

you can detail strip the upper of a glock with a handcuff key. you need a leatherman to finish out the bottom.

gotta love that. I often do trigger jobs, parts replacements, etc. on other officers' glock during SHIFT MEETING!!!! I'm the man.
