Anyone have any luck with Barska optics? They are rather cheap...
Most of what you'll hear is "THEY'RE JUNK!!!!". I bought a Barska 4x32 Plinker for my Marlin 60 .22 and like it. The glass in mine is bright and clear and overall the scope appears well made. I suspect they have quality control issues, as do most things aiming for the bottom of the market. I haven't shot the gun much but recently at the range I shot a ~1" group at 50 yards.
I would not put a Barska on a stick much less a gun.
I only buy American glass for my firearms.
ummmm... yup. Scopes are without a doubt one of the "You get what you pay for" items.
I have one of their spotting scopes. Works fine.
They seem to work just fine for .22's and whatnot. Recoil is what kills em.
This. I wouldn't put one on anything bigger than rimfire.
I have a Barska Reflex sight on my 10/22 and it works pretty well. No complaints.
I have a barska red dot on my 686 fot Bullseye competition. It holds zero great and is a decent optic. I would buy another one for that use.
I've had a Barska "SKS" with the illuminated reticle siderail- mounted on my Saiga. I would gladly buy another one in a second. HH
