Obama got 95% of the black votes last election, tell me race had nothing to do with it.

Sounds like his ratings have taken a correction back to typical democrat polling numbers for blacks.

He could lose 100% of the black vote and still get the votes of some white liberals scared to look racist.

oh there will be a few black folks who want to keep the money they earn, but the majority will vote for obama or any democrat.

Gas prices already lowering. If he can get the unemployment numbers down a few weeks before the election he will be a shoe in.

He doesn't have to LOSE the black vote to lose the election.

In the voting balance in America, the Democrats now can routinely hold about 90% of black voters. If that margin were to fall to "only", say, 75%, then that shift alone would be enough, spread over the nation, to make the Democrats a long-term minority party in the US. That is why a story such as this NC one is so important to political types.

We all know people who despise Romney as well, but come election day they will hold their nose and pull the lever. I'm one of them. :whistling:

I know people have short memories, but i don't think a lot of people are gonna forget 3.5 yrs of crap sandwich just because gas prices dip a little.

He's goin down. I cannot picture us reelecting him.

... a LOT of people won't be swayed because of a dip in gas prices, but SOME will. In a close election, that SOME can be enough to swing the result.

    Exactly that.

There may be some staying home on election day, but 95% of those that go to the polls on election day will vote for Obama.

Poorer than usual voting attendance, even with such a 95% margin in actual votes, can still throw the election away from Obama; TWO votes NOT cast for Obama is equivalent to ONE vote switched to Romney.

He is going to lose sooo big this November. He will get a sympathy card from Jimmy Carter. Another landslide is coming.

You have far too much faith in the rationality of the American masses.

Essentially our system has degenerated to one where politicians pay voters borrowed money to remain in office.

They publicly castigate the "1%" about not paying their fair share, despite the fact that they pay more in taxes than the bottom 95%:
