Is there anyway to determine round count based on the wear on the barrel finish (smileys). When do the smileys start etc. Any help will be appreciated.

I sell several glocks a month and I'm asked alot about # of rounds thru the gun. I would like to learn about the wearing rate so when I buy I can get better info from the seller and then when selling I can honest with the buyer.

    Thanks,

    Gary

No such thing as wear rate. Take the general overall condition into consideration and rate the gun accordingly. This is a perfectly respected means used within the industry.
Smileys begin with the first shot. A smiley is created when the brass expands into the unsupported area of the chamber/feed ramp. It has nothing to do with wear.
