i have decided to pick up a camo-nova for goose and duck, i was wondering which length barrel was better and why. I believe they come in 24, 26, and 28 inches. Any feedback would be appriciated.

I have the Nova pump with a 28 inch barrel and the mercury anti-recoil in the stock. Its a little heavy with the 28" but I have no problem knocking down Pheasents and Ducks. It also makes one hell of a turkey gun. With today's shells I don't really believe the extra barrel length the 28" gives you is worth the weight. If I had to do it again I would opt for the 26. IMHO I think the choke and the ammunition play bigger roles in a shotguns pattern and accuracy than the barrel length (not counting of course the 18" house cannons).
