You go, guv!
First you have to know who to vilify. Once you know, the rest is easy.
Why don't they request a list of individuals that are on public assistance so they can "study" that.
Didn't they learn anything from when the NY papers published CWP holder's info??
Jeez.. intelligence must not be common amongst these anti-gun people
@Janice, agreed.. I like you more & more with each post you make. lol
That sucks. Is it only restricted to Maine?

It is so important that every state addresses this in their CCW laws. If your state doesn't already protect this info, you need to be on the horn.
The Star Tribune here in Minnesota had a gripe in their 'Whistleblower' section that someone couldn't make the FOIA request from the state, since they already protect it. Apparently, the person writing in though it was their duty to know who the gun owners were in the state.
What could possibly go wrong?
Now that is a great idea.
Hmmm, someone should file a FOIA requesting all FOIA requests for public documents specifically firearms data, public assistance data and crime data.
Then "study" why each would want one and not the other(s)
Maybe the Rags publisher, editor and reporters who came up with this gem of an idea should have their personal info posted ..... what's good for the goose is good for the gander...
Not only their addresses and phone numbers but also their schedule of when they go to work, shopping, when they're not home ect.
Sometimes I do think we need "common sense" restrictions on Freedom of Press.
Especially when it seems "the press" is a gov. controlled entity.

Eleanor Gay · Top Commenter · Clark UniversitySo, I don't have the right to know if someone entering my house is carrying a weapon?
Geez. It's not her responsibility to choose her company wisely. Lord no!
Her irrational fears apparently supersede the rights to privacy of the responsible carrying citizens, and common sense altogether.
Always surprises me that they think a list would tell them who is carrying guns.
Felons won't be on the newspaper list, so I guess none of them are carrying guns, right?
I joined the NRA, have you yet?
Well if they bust down your front door Eleanor, then its a home invasion.. and you'll quickly know if they have guns...
This is from another forum.
The Bangor Daily News is requesting the names, addresses and birth dates of ALL Maine CWP holders under the FoAA, apparently to publish their own listing in the fashion of the Journal News in NY.
The NRA-ILA link below has details and contact info for the Representatives and Senators who need to hear from you TODAY.

A twist in looking at this: So if someone is planning on breaking into a house and it's NOT on the list, I guess its safe for them to break into, being armed them selves, right?
And NO, I wouldn't want my address posted for every criminal looking for a free and untraceable to them gun to see.
