    What I wonder...

How many of the keyboard kommandos would have not tolerated this and "protected their family" and opened fire??

Yeah, handcuff all adults in the area until you figure out who/where the one you're actually looking for is...

Nahhh, that's not a 4th amendment lawsuit and/or false arrest suit on the hoof or anything.

Don't fight it at the curb, fight it in court.

I support their decision (the police) and approach.

Apparently they were confident that "the bad guy" was in that group of cars and they were right. Inconveniencing people by handcuffing them temporarily is not *arresting* them, and their safety is in question.

Can't say I'd *enjoy* having to sit 2-3 hours while they figured everything out, but to get a bad guy off the streets? Oh yeah.

I would be kind of uncomfortable with the police pointing a gun at me.

I guess this is a jambog...

However, that is what happens when posts are spread out amongst so many sub-categories.

Which page 1 issue? I got about two pages in and didn't see any keyboard kommandos that wanted to go Randy Weaver...should I keep reading?

    That's quite alright.

    There's more than enough;

    • Ignorance
    • Bias
    • Agenda driven posts

To last multiple threads in multiple forums.

But was anyone going Randy Weaver? I always find the one who are gonna shoot it out funny. Here was 20 something cars, and no-one did anything except as they were told.

So I guess a GPS tracker giving the location as being in the middle of the group of cars doesn't count for anything? Nor does the report that the robber had taken a hostage?

In order to do a "Randy Weaver", you gotta have the cops shoot your son and wife first, especially the wife with a head shot.

That's always good advice. No need to get hurt because you think the police are doing the wrong thing. Even if they are wrong, getting tased, pepper sprayed or shot isn't going to do you any good. Just do what you're told and follow up in court if you think you were wronged.

If I'd been one of the handcuffed civilians I would not have been happy. Especially if I had to pee, which is pretty much all the time.
