Baltimore really is more dangerous than Iraq!

    There were 0 combat fatalities in Iraq in Dec, something we should all be thankful for. Meanwhile men that survived to return home are greeted by this:

    Knowing this area its as likely they were targeted for making something of themselves as they were random victims. This town disgusts me more and more every day. :steamed:

    My wife is from (near) Baltimore. Baltimore City is the house next door to her parents.

    "Charm City."

    The 'Projects' are one street over from her parents' house.

    You'd really have to be more specific. There is more than one "projects". None of them make for a nice place to raise kids in or near that's for sure. My ex wife grew up on North Clinton St. in Highlandtown, widely regarded as one of the worst neighborhoods in the city with the exception of the Section 8 high-rise project across from JHU.

    im there now. The place i had to do work at, in fayette, had 2 gun fights and one fatal head shot right outside our doors. Bloods n Crips.

    Lived in Balto for a couple of years in mid 90s. Hated that hole.
