Why would 'bringing in a group of 500 predominantly African-American police officers from around the nation to work with community and faith leaders to address the violence.' work ?

Why would they want to go to that hellhole. and work for a total moron political class, only to be used as burnt offerings ? ...

She's choosing to advance her chosen narrative instead of following the evidence.
A clear pattern with her, and the city leadership.

Smaller scale political tyrants have to begin their career somewhere one supposes... Should we look to Africa for answers? Chicago? (or is it Chiraq?)

"Dr. Franklin! What form of government do we have?"
"A Republic Ma'am. If you can keep it."

But when I look to Africa, I see failed communist totalitarianism here and there, typically run by a thug like dictator for life... hmmmm. At least Chicago elected a Hebrew dancer to run the show, one that doesn't hail from African roots but certainly depends on keeping them in line at election time.

Question: Where are the female Thomas Sowell, Walter William, Allen West or Alan Keyes? Sage black minds and voices of the female gender? Is B'more representative of our best and brightest? (Of course, one could and should ask the same of Wash DC perhaps)

At least the ones in charge are still elected. A good thing.

    I think.

You know how on GNG, we've seen over and over again where posters post ideas and opinions on a subject despite the fact they have not one iota of knowledge in that field? They can do so without consequences because their posts don't have to be tested by reality.

She was one of those posters until the music stopped. And now she's come face to face with reality. And what previously sounded so good is falling apart.

Internet is safe. Reality has consequences.

    what it would have revealed was;
    1) The gang and drug trade is funded by a small and wealthy group of old Maryland families(old money).
    2) those same families also have total control of the state and city policital system.
see, Maryland is over 450 years old. It has corruption down to a fine science, one of the reasons why organize crime never got a foot hold here.

I'm confused. I agreed with the state attorney when I read the article. This panel sounds idiotic and could compromise cases. Now I'm reading the thread and it seems I'm suppose to support the panel and be mad at the attorney?

    Huh?

What would this panel reveal that isn't already known?

I was somewhat surprised at the number of homicides for which they say they have no motive at all. That said, I am going to guess that a commission probably will not discover anything for a motive but that a thorough investigation is the answer. My guess is the solution to the problem may rest with making sure there are ample experienced and trained homicide investigators and substantially increasing the pressure on street crimes, especially drug and gang activities could yield a reduction in homicides.

Nothing but, they know the problem and can't even state it behind closed doors.

You've cited people who would prescribe a 'bitter medicine' solution ...

The 'black socialist community' is only interested in being offered 'cotton candy' ...

They will never vote in anyone with a real solution ... :frown:

Gotta agree with this. It doesn't take a study to tell me that the drivers behind their crimes are: drugs, gangs, turf wars and poverty.

There was a retired DC cop on Fox last night completely agreeing with Mosby, saying he wouldn't want any details of open/pending cases that he was working being given out.

The majority of murders in Baltimore are gang related, repeat offenders, trash taking out the trash. We can either let it continue or start locking away the criminals and throwing away the keys. The End. $200,000 saved.

Do you mean positions of authority should have responsibility for their action? That's not the liberal way.

When they tried it before did they have any temporary reduction in homicide levels?

You mean like a Jade Helm martial law approach or a FEMA camp relocation approach?
