I went out to the range tonight. Me, my G23 and a Beretta 3032 Tomcrack, oops Tomcat. I bought the Tomcat at a gun show a month ago, read up about them and their frame cracking ways, and sure as s#*t you know what happened. My G23 was first loaded with 10 Speer Gold Dot 155 gr. 5 per magazine with 2 magazines, and had 2 FTF in the first 5 rounds loaded. I then shot 20 more of them, loaded 10 at a time and had no problems. I also shot off 100 Federal FMJ 180 gr. with not a hick up. I was feeling good so I shot off 50 Federal 180 gr. HST loads and had no problems. Guess I'll carry Federal HST 180 for now. Like I said, still beats a good day working!

I will post pics soon, comp illiterate. I fired Remington 71 gr. only took 5 of them to crack it.

Still fired the rest of the box. Shot flawless, but with crack.

Mine didn't crack, but it was defective from the get go. Beretta replaced it with a whole new gun in a sealed case. I'm not even going to shoot it. Just sell it.

Arg! Back to the factory with that one! How about a Seecamp instead? (Pricey i know). I thought about buying a tomcat, an attractive gun and i like the break open barrel - glad i didnt now though.

I only paid $365 for my Seecamp. It runs like a top. But you are limited to the ammo you can shoot in the seecamp. Some ammo is too long to fit in the magazine.
