Bacon wrapped crack!!!

    This is what my wife's stuffed jalapenos are. Take a jalapeno cut off the stem end, cut in half long ways fill with cream cheese then wrap in bacon cook at 325 until crispy. We are having a family party and I just had over a dozen, can't eat just one

    I made some today also. I add onion, garlic, seeds from a couple of the peppers, a little of the red rooster, and bits of cooked bacon to the cream cheese stuffing.

    Halved, cream cheese, little smokie, wrapped in bacon coated in brown sugar, turbinado and cayenne and smoked for two hours at 225

    None left we made about 100 and they are all gone, putting these in front of my family is like putting a pork chop in front of a bunch of starving pitbulls.

    I have seen these for years but I think its finally time to make my first batch. Should it be cream cheese or cheddar? Or a mix?

    You can mix other cheese in with the cream cheese but I don't think that cheddar is right for this. You should use mainly cream cheese. I sometimes sprinkle a little 4 cheese mexican shredded on before the bacon wrap.

    I love these things. But after about 20 along with alot of beer the next day isn't so fun. You think I would learn my leason but it's so hard to walk away from them.
    Add shrimp to them from time to time to change it up.

    Both are awesome! I'd mix it up and see what you like best. I think I prefer cream cheese for bacon wrapped/grilled. Cheddar for deep fried.

    I mix cream cheese and cheddar, and it has to be whipped cc, don't ask me why. They are the BEST after they have sat in the fridge for a day or so, hooboy!!!

    Those sound good, but let me make a suggestion. Instead of the cream cheese, fill the jalapenos with a raw, peeled shrimp, wrap w/ bacon, marinate in soy sauce for a few hours then bake at 350 degrees until the bacon is done. Indescribably delicious!
