I guess I should be using the large backstrap since I have big hands but why would I want to add any weight or bulk? Feels fine with L, M, or without so unless I feel limited, I am going to leave it off.

What have you done with your Gen 4, Glock 26, backstrap-wise?

I've got large hands and I like the feel of the Gen4 G26. Bought one this week and haven't even had the urge to try out the backstraps, that's how much I like the grip.

My other consideration is that I'm married and the wife likes the current grip too.

I like the feel of all 3 versions but have the large backstrap on there because it feels the best to me. obviously everybody's experience will be different but, to me if feels like it opens up enough of the grip for my support hand. I hope they eventually release a beavertail backstrap for the Gen4 models and I'll be all set.
