After spending the last few years upgrading my rifles with the latest "tacticool" rails and optics I decided on a simpler project. I wanted a plain no frills carbine that I could use for plinking and general use. I had a spare BCG in the safe and decided to put together a new KISS carbine around it. The upper is an A2 16 inch lightweight barrel courtesy of the fine folks at Del-Ton. I almost forgot how light an AR could be. This one is roughly a little over 5 lbs. For the time being, it's mounted on my Stag M4 lower with a Model 1 Sales 4 pos. stock. The fit is excellent and the finish is a good match, however I will be picking up a stripped Del-Ton lower this spring and eventually mate them together for good. I haven't shot it yet, but I'm pretty confident that it will be a decent addition to the family.
