    I think I'll keep her.
This replaces my trusty, dusty IBM T30 Thinkpad.
That thing simply wouldn't die. It had voyaged to every continent, except Antarctica. It had been dropped, sat on, rained on, frozen and baked. It's been through two broken screens, one tornado, two huricaines and still kept running like a champ. No wonder IBM stopped making them. Ultimately, it's USB 1.0 that proved to be its demise...it's simply too slow to transfer 2-3 gigs of photos. Her Pentium 4 proc managed to handle Photoshop and Lightroom well enough. But that USB was just an annoying bottleneck that couldn't be gotten around.

Her replacement is a Fujitsu T1010 Lifebook with a touchscreen that folds back on itself to make it a tablet...very handy for photoshop. Bunch of other 'common' toys that I had learned to live without in my old T30. Blue tooth, webcam, USB 2.0 (no 3.0...sigh), built-in WiFi, DVD recorder, Windows 7....

I just hope it proves to be as rugged as the old IBM.

    Sweet! Congrats! How much RAM?

I must say though, I don't know much about Fujitsu computers...

it came with 2gig but that's gona be 4 by the end of the week.
I also plan on replacing the stock 160 gig hard drive with a 500, put the 160 into an external hard drive case. A clean install will give me the opportunity to toss away the bloatware.
