OCALA - The Internet cafe patron who shot and injured two men as they tried to rob the business will likely not face any criminal charges.

story at link. Can't seem to get the video to embed, but it's excellent. (sorry if repost)

well, I said sorry. :whistling: I haven't been around recently, but I did search for "Palms Internet Cafe" and "Gainesville" before posting and didn't see it. Did previous posts include the video? The story I linked to is dated 07/16.

I am guilty of creating a thread too. I did search for "Florida" and things. I should have searched for "grandpa", as that was in the first thread's title. I wish people would be a bit more descriptive and accurate in their thread titles, it might cut back on some of the jambogging.

    Thanx.

The Dude just went all Rambo on those punks. Very cool.

I wish he had been carrying a 50 cal Desert Eagle though.

    Thanks, first for me also.

Now I'm going to go look for any threads with subjects that have been previously posted. Once I find one, I'll make sure to inform the OP that his thread is a re post and has cost me valuable time and energy.

Did I see right, it looked like he didn't even aim some of those shots. Just pretty much from the hip. Still gotta say he's my hero. LOL

Looked to me like he was 'point shooting' some of the shots. I'm a great fan of point shooting for real close range work. I've hit lots of moving small four legged varmints using that technique at close range with P3AT's and Kahr mouse pistols. But you've got to burn a fair amount of ammo to get good at it.

Go here to read more. Lots of other good info on this site also.

It 's still a cool video, ya know?:wavey:

Thing that gets me, there are the usual suspects crying about how the old man is "still shooting" although they have turned to run......the horrors! The bad guys should be released and the old guy should be jailed.......so say the cowards.

Well excuse me, but part of the price one pays for trying to hold up many folks with a bat and gun.......is that when you get caught you get run off, anyway you can be. And who gives a dang whether or not the back of the bad guys is turned, so were those of several of the victims. That didn't stop the bad guys. But somehow it's supposed to mean the good guys alone can't cross that line.
