I wouldn't classify a Galco holters as "cheap". The problem here is, the guy that shot himself in the leg is too "cheap" to buy a new holster to replace the worn out one he was using.
So true. Inspecting your gear is part of firearm ownership. For the record I use a cheap Uncle Mike's IWB holster for all of my Glocks. Raven concealment, Kramer ( horse hair), Comp tac my favoritesI think how worn the holster is was more the issue. Try kydex, Zombie Tactical Outfitters makes some nice stuff.
