Landlord says shooting up the theater and booby trapping his apartment violate the terms of his lease. I saw it on tv news but I bet if you Google it it'll be easy to find.

Wiring your apartment to explode will tend to do that. He ain't getting his deposit back either.

That's strange, my lease agreement does not mention mass murder or explosives. :dunno: Either way, I don't think he will be needing an apartment for the next few years.

The apartment house is university housing. He was violating the lease when he dropped out of the university and stayed on. Imagine if they ( the university housing folks) had done an unannounced inspection and found all that stuff he was putting together! He wouldhave been just another postscript of a sad, mentally ill drop out loser:shocked:

Landlord can sell all his belingings on Ebay and make a bundle. However, I'd imaging all the cool stuff was taken by the PD.

Ya know...................seems to me that while all these guys who are honestly crazy may need help, they all reach the same way to garner attention, every one of them.........shooting people. They plan, they prepare, and they act resulting in quite nasty ends.

Yet, they always claim...... in the end....... that they're too danged crazy to be held responsible.

Why is this news? Of course the landlord is going to file a legal process so they can reclaim the residence.

You must be kidding! Worldwide approximately 1% of the population has some form of schizophrenia. The mentally ill are more likely to be victimized than to be the perpetrators. These 'lone wolf' gunmen are social misfits, often personality disordered or have had brushes with the criminal justice system.

On the bright side, he probably won't get called for jury duty.

If someone is being tried for murder, can they have "a jury of their peers" if no accused/convicted murderers are on it?

IF he had been ex Army or military of any flavor that would be his label to most of the press. But since he is university trained he is not affiliated with that lifestyle. I have not been following this too closely, but am I off base here?

He also may be evicted as he has not paid his rent?

First off Carrys did not mention schizophrenia. I inferred that he was specifically discussing idiot murderers like Holmes or Huberty., He can correct me if I am wrong.

Secondly more likely to be victimized than perpetrators does not mean schizophrenic and/or mentally ill do not commit murder. In fact some do.

That is 3 well publicized cases off the top of my head. I am sure I could find more schizophrenics who have murdered if I cared to look.
