Why not just buy a Battery Tender instead, assuming you have 110VAC near where you park it? If you're leaving your ATV unused long enough to drain the battery flat, you'll be replacing batteries quite often. If you use a Battery Tender, you get the best of both worlds - no flat batteries, and much longer battery life. I've been using them on all my toys for 10 years, and my batteries last 4-6 years this way.
