Sadly, the thread I started yesterday was lost in the crash so I'll start over. Can one substitute lime juice in place of lemon juice in a lemon meringue pie recipe? Yes, I know about key lime pie. Had a slice last night, and I do enjoy it. But, key lime pie is a totally different style than lemon meringue pie. I have always thought that the same texture filling in lime would make a good pie. So the big question is: Why not ?
