I'm going to be there in a couple of weeks.

Suggestions on great food and things to do on a Thursday and Friday night as well as Saturday afternoon? I will have a car.

BTW, I love out of the way, locals only, dive food. Just needs to be good. I want to avoid the "nice" places that are by the hotels where all the business travelers go. I lived in Memphis. I love the food of the south. Where is the soul of Atlanta?

    Thanks

Recommend Teds Montana Grill for a good burger. EATS is a really good place to eat as well off Ponce. Kinda of a little soul food place. Awesome jerk chicken and chilli. Feline's pizza is really good to. World of Coke, Zoo Atlanta, Cyclorama, Stone Mountain Park, Six Flags. Those are some of my suggestions.

If you like live music and bars visit Little Five Points off Moreland Ave. If you do try The Vortex lounge. Very neat place and has a very wide menu.

QFT & Ditto - really good food served in the traditional fashion. It's also easy to find.

Papadeaux’s has real good seafood. World of Coke is pretty cool.Varsity diner is supposed to have good food, but I don’t have personal experience with that one.

OK Cafe. Safe area, great variety on the menu.

    Fox Bros BBQ

Bones - if you want a high end great steak and service to match.

Good suggestions above. Also, see the Georgia Aquarium. Whale sharks in a huge tank that you can walk through!

I’d recommend Clermont Lounge in the evening. Charming and unique atmosphere. Ask for Blondie.

I try to stay the heck away from Atlanta. But since you have to be there I would visit the aquarium and Coca Cola headquarters. My wife and I enjoyed both.

Most certainly Bones. Bring your wallet. Clermont Lounge if you want to see swinging dicks. There are chicks too, however.

Deans BBQ in Jonesboro, but they have no bathroom so go there empty. Kenessaw mountain if it isn't too hot. Stone mountain is great too. There is a Mexican bar that serves fantastic seafood but I can't remember the name. It kills me that I can't give you the name, the food is that good.

I'm still at work and went through my expense reports, can't find the name. I wish I could refer you this place.
They made some sort of shrimp fajita that I can still remember how great it was.
