Can anyone recommend a gunshop in the Atlanta area with a good inventory and good customer service?
A gun shop I go most of the time is called B&B Outdoors in Roswell,GA.
Good customer service, prices are ok.
Another one is Nicks Guns (used to be Ed's Guns and Tackle), good prices but customer service is a click less than Ok.
I am a gun collector (gun nut) and eventhough B&B is more expensive (+/- $20-40 more), by now, when I walk through the door I have an automatic price discount and excellent friendship. We ride motorcycles too.
Panells Firearms in Woodstock also have good prices. Service is ok.
If you are near Smyrna, try Adventures Outdoors, they have the best prices cash. +3 or 4% if visa or MC. Good customer service.
Best prices for long guns Dick's Sporting Goods.
I live in Athens but drive to Shuler's Great Outdoors in Gainesville to buy most of my guns. Definitely the nicest guys I've ever bought a gun from.
Got a G27 from them
Got a Mossberg 500 & XD 40 from them...use their little range sometimes too
Forsyth Pawn in Cumming 770-844-8800, has good prices and a good selection. I also agree with Nick's, 770-425-8461, and Adventure Outdoors, 770-333-9880.
Autrey's Armory in Fayetteville are good people. Fair prices, good service, good inventory and they have a range on site. Gunsmith on site, they offer training classes, and competitions. Nice place.
Chuck's Firearms in Buckhead
David's Gun Room in Norcross
Tucker Guns - in Tucker
Top Guns - on PI Blvd in Buford
I have bought gun (s) from all of them. Great service and staff.
Bullseye in Lawrenceville is a nice shop - plenty of inventory and class 3 rentals on their indoor range if you're so inclined. Fun store.
+1 for Forsyth Pawn in Cumming, they also do affordable FFL transfers and are extremely good people
I've been to Pannell's a few times and the customer service was really poor every time.
On the other hand, I've found the guys at Nick's to be very friendly and usually pretty knowledgeable.
For the north side of town (the Woodstock/Canton area), there are three places I go. Ed's (Nick's) has a nice indoor rifle and pistol range and the guys there are reasonably friendly. Prices are pretty good, too.
Pannell's has a range, but it's not as big as Nick's. The service there is hit or miss. The older guys are great, but there is at least one younger guy who always looks like he wishes he was somewhere else.
The newest place is Big Woods Goods. There are the furthest north (the Holly Springs exit of I-575), but I have been very impressed with them so far. They have a good selection, good prices, and they have been some of the friendliest gun store folks I've dealt with. They also do transfers for $25 and don't act like it's a big hassle to them.
I usually go to Forsyth Pawn as well. Great prices and 10$ ffl transfer, you cant beat that. I was completely ignored for over 20 minutes one day while browsing which I didnt appreciate but maybe they were just having a bad day. I've also been to David's Gun room which is where i got my first pistol. Best prices back in the day, haven't been there in a while.
Take a ride to Stockbridge to Ed's Pawn (Ed's Public Safety Supply). Great guys, large selection.
the guys at Nicks are OK, and their prices are OK, but they always seem like nobody matters unless your 40 years old and up. They always look at me like "what do you want?"
Pannells is OK, the OLDER guys there are cool, but there's a guy that works there that is a dick 100% of the time....
Advernture Outdoors is pretty good and have a LARGE selection...
