We have endless pics of the moon. From earth, thru telescopes, and approaching it during moon missions.

With the space race, we gained pics of the Earth, from space, Earthrise on the moon, satellites, etc.

Has a photograph ever been taken of the two together in the same shot, say, from a departing deep space probe?

If so, where? It would have to be a cool pic...

Pure guess here, but I don't see why there would be. We really haven't sent out that many probes for there to be any priority on turning them around for a family pic rather than focusing on their actual mission.

Terrible lighting in that photograph. I can only see one side of the earth and moon. Should have used a flash to eliminate the shadows.

Earth as seen from Voyager 1. Technically, the Moon is there too.
