I was making up a menu for an future party for a social group of which I am a co-chair and sending a menu to the place for consideration. I propose an Hors d'oeuve of Asparagus wrapped in "Prosciutto" (Italian ham). I ran an Internet Explorer Outlook Express spell check on my proposal and the word "Prosciutto" came up flagged with the corrected word as prostitute. Without looking hard, I changed to the first suggested alternative word, and sent the e-mail. Well... My co-chair informed me of my mistake. We traced the error to the Spell Check program in Outlook Express. Am I the first one to be caught? I sure hope the receipient has a good sense of humor. Either that, of the party will be very unusual.
