    hello everyone...
i have been searching for info about what pistol to buy and i wish to again ask for your wise opinions...

i wish to know more about ARMSCOR Pistols... because they are proudly philippine made and parts shouldn't be a problem right?

    1. I wanted a short pistol that would be easy to carry and conceal...
    2. Budget is a problem coz' i earn only minimum wage so i'll have to settle for the cheapest model available...
    3. It should be 9mm (para mura lang ang bala) and hi-cap if posible...
    4. Sana po ay yung pwede gamitin sa competition if i want to join you guys di ba?...pero mainly for SD ang purpose nya kaya short ang hanap ko...
    i'm thinking of

    2. M1911-A1-9 FSB
    3. M1911-A1-45-CSP

mainly i want to ask you for info on prices po sana para maipon ko yung budget...
I'll be selling my daewoo to buy a LICENSED FA na para maganda...

    thanks in advance po...

if youre looking for an inexpensive path to handguns, IMO a 1911 isnt the way to go;) get glock or a taurus instead;)

How short is short? There's a limit for short barrel on competition.

There's a maximum barrel length (5") for production but there's no minimum (for all divisions). :)

I agree, you'll be tempted to the 1911's never ending modifications
and accessories. Get a production gun bro.

I'm inclined to get an armscor mainly because its locally made so i thoughtit would be cheaper. 1911 coz' of the availability of parts and accesories is prevailent here in the philippines. I've considered glocks but as i've said budget is a problem kayo po armcor muna then move up to glocks all in due time. Sabi kasi nila e about 30 thou ang brand new glocks e...

also... kaya po ako nanghihingi ng advise nila now so that when i make my decision... it will be an informed decision... do keep those infos coming...

Hindi naman dre. Just watch out the Buy and Sell thread dito. Dami ka makukuha at a reasonable price. If you want something small for carry but has high magazine capacity, go polymer. APP9 yata nasa P21T. There's just no alternative kasi with Hi-cap 1911 walang compact na mura ka makukuha.

konti na lang idadagdag ko pag nabenta yung daewoo... is the parts readily available just in case something breaks?

it doesnt mean if there are plenty of parts it would be cheaper, it only means mas marami kang bibilhin at gagastusin

try the armscor .40 hicap. its not compact but it seems to be good to go in standard just change the parts as they break or when you have extra money. seems like everything you'd need for standard is included like ambi, beavertail and bull barrel pa. I think it was selling for around 18t last gun show. and armscor sells buddy series I think they have cosmetic flaws or something its cheaper by maybe 2t.

From your post, I could gather that:
    1. You already have a gun (or car ;) )
    2. It's 9mm
    3. It's light and easy to carry

    Wais ba?

    sir new comer;

    1. FA po ung daewoo at maganda nga siya kasi made by the same company that makes the car.
    2.yup. its 9mm
    3.right again.

I doubt if it's unlicenced. Chances are that the renewal fees were left unpaid...

In any case, my kumpare regularly uses his Daewoo DP51 in matches and practice with no problems whatsoever. His may already be running into the 5-7K round count already, and going.

Yung Production division in IPSC is where shooters with DA/SA or DAO guns like GLocks, HK's, SW's, CZ's and clones can compete with each other, distinct from those who use 'souped-up' guns with faster SA trigger designs and compensators. These enthusiasts (menaing magagaling ;)) naman are entered in the Open, Modified or Standard categories. So kung me plastic holster ka like Uncle mikes or Fobus, tapos JR Speed na velcro belt and local mag pouches, laban ka na sa Prod division! Masaya dun kasi halos lahat ng newbies dun nagsisimula sumali. ;)

    Hope this helps. ;)
