    Simple Question:

Seems like the best way for a non LE or non FFL holder to get into the Glock armorer's course is to join the GSSF... which appears to just be an annual fee of $35. After that you're qualified. Is this correct?

Or just check out the youtube videos by "humans4targets".

One of the more accurate detail strip videos I've seen. Some are just horrid, and aren't consistent with what Glock teaches... Installing and removing pins in the wrong order etc.

I took the course in Bartow back in January. I don't remember a lot of Florida armorer's courses on the list. You'll have to check for the next one.

If you want to learn about your Glock pistol and how they work, and wish to repair should you ever have to then take the armorers course. I've taken 3 so far first two while still with my PD last one on my own through GSSF.

Is a Glock's Armorer's course really necessary? That thing is so easy to take apart and change out any part whatsoever that I don't really see what they could possibly teach you in the Armorer's course that you would be able to take advantage of unless they teach you to mold your own frame :)

Would be a nice line on the resume for anybody looking to get into a job at a gun store (or opening a gun store), law enforcement, etc. most likely.

I'd take one if I had the cash, right nao! :)

do you need to take it?

Do you learn how to... correctly...yes.

Are there some things that are different from what you "learned"...yes
