He darn sure should consider a different caliber or ammo selection for sure. Good going for the shooter anyway .

Good shoot. As to the caliber... neither of the jokers getting shot seemed inclined to stand there and argue that the .380 wasn't really enough of a round for a fight. Given that they were all akimbo when he was shooting the old man did a magnificent job of getting rounds on target. He is to be applauded for acting coolly and deliberately to stop these domestic terrorists from carrying out a criminal atrocity.

Old pop needs to upgrade to the 9mm Makarov which is also favorite in light carry. Or better yet, he needs to get those new The Judge .410 to put those guys down. Hhhahaha

Great outcome of a bad situation. But 380 is truly subpar. I am going to trade my lcp for lc9. Cheaper and better ammo - no brainer!

I just did the very same thing and short of the loooong trigger pull of the LC9...it shot every round without incident yesterday. Very happy with it as a summer CCW rig versus the LCP.
    Regarding the vid...that's awesome.

Kudos to the old man. In every way, I think he handled the situation beautifully. His initial shots did not put the BG down, but he did not give the bastard time to take cover, or turn and fire back. The good guy keeps advancing, keeps firing, leaving the BG no option but to run like hell & hope for the best. In this situation, that is best-case scenario.

Caliber? Ya, .380 isn't ideal, but he hit one guy in the shoulder, the other in the arse. Could've been .45ACP or .22LR, wouldn't really matter. Shot placement trumps caliber every time. And no, I'm not slamming the guy's shooting skills. This 71yr old just potentially saved the bacon of everyone in the room.

Though it is funny, at 0:57 he looks down at his gun like; "WTF?"
