so i'm shooting a b-grade horror movie with some friends. we all have cameras and figured 'why not?' in the past, i have used windows movie maker to edit things together, because i didn't really have a need for anything more complicated.

however, i am experiencing all sorts of problems. mostly the fact that it treats some clips as the end of the sequence and stops playing or rendering.

i have Adobe Premier, but i can't even get started with it. it won't import the .avi files.

does anybody have any experience with stuff like this??

    thanks!

I use WMM for capture only, I then use a product called VideoMach to edit the files. It's shareware, but it's user interface is so much easier, IMHO. I think it was $20.00 to register it after the 30 day trial.
