I am ready for some football, but I am not a fan of pre-season. It is pretty much meaningless.

Considering the cost of tickets, concessions, parking (elective I understand) and all the tax abatements for the team, additonal local taxes and city government incentives (non elective, were stuck with it) I think the whole season is meaningless.

I'm not a fan (as you can tell) but I'm all for everyone enjoying themselves as long as it doesn't cost me anything. I don't own a parking garage or a downtown restaraunt, etc. so I get no benefit from their presence and shouldn't have to shoulder any of the costs.

Sorry for the hijack but I feel very strong about this.

Well heck ya ! I`m looking forward to football . I`m 5 minutes from Notre Dame , my college team . And though 90 some miles from Chicago I`ve been a lifelong Packer fan . I work second shift now and about the only thing I miss is not being able to get to my old high school football games.
