If you do not allow drunk people to drive then how do they get home from the bar to sober up?

    I patch all my systems:
    Windows 7
    MAC OSX
    Linux - openSuse, Ubuntu, KUbuntu

They all need patches, many patches are security patches.

It is the way of the internet... Patch Patch Patch

Otherwise, how do us Silicon Jockey's pay our bills???

<= Has been using IE since version 3.0 (1995). Tried "alternative" browsers a few times but haven't found them to have any advantages over IE.

Speed of what exactly? I'm using my browser to visit web sites, not to run benchmark tests with a stopwatch in my hand.

You do realise IE is the most unsafe Browser right?

Could you send me the URL of a website that would be unsafe to visit with my IE? Because the only virus I accidentally launched in the last 5 years did not come from the Web.

IE @ default settings - I would agree is very unsafe, but I don't know whether it's THE most unsafe. One can open one's self up to all kind of nasty crap via any browser, all depending upon the settings/tightening of security/precautions (e.g., scripts, ActiveExploit, etc.)
