I buy ammo every paycheck. Sometimes it goes into the SHTF ammo can, and sometimes it goes into my "I'm going shooting this weekend" stash. I try to keep no less than 750 rounds at all times.
Nope....nows when the gouging starts
no, powder/primers. Done buying guns for the foreseeable future
I had my eye on a few long guns but have decided to get more projectiles for reloading. By the end of the year I should be set on components for at least three years.
**sigh**... just when I thought the 22 hoarding might let up a bit...
750 rounds? Dude... even I have more than that! Do you mean 750 boxes? Heck, one box of 22 plinking ammo is 500 rounds.
Hey, I got into reloading at the tail end of the powder shortage back in Feb. Obviously, powder and primers were damned near impossible to get, but were bullets too? I was able to get 55gr for my AR and .40cal 180gr very easily, but perhaps I just had good timing?
I seem to recall my .223 bullet supplier jacked his prices up and had limited availability for a while, but I really doubt any of the small DIY guys making cast bullets are gonna dry up... at least I hope.
I could do without shooting my AR, handguns are my top priority.
No, I buy stuff because I want it!
I've been buying extra .223/5.56 ammo this past week because the AR might soon be a liberal target. Otherwise no.
I do remember posting about a shortage of jacketed or plated bullets back during all that mess. Precision Delta was back ordering for months and Berry's plated bullets were near impossible to find. I stocked up on powder and primers first because they are always the first components to become scarce. If I can get about another $1,000.00 worth of bullets by the end of the year, that and what I have rolled up, will last a long time.
Had over 2000 rounds, but then did a new build and had to use some up. I also have a wife and 14 year old daughter... most of my money goes to women's clothes, shoes, and make up. I'm lucky to have what I do.
No. My last new gun purchase was a month or two ago and included 1700 rounds to start.
Nope. There's only so much storage space in my house.
I have a 10 year supply of primers and powder and cases.
Just need projectiles.
I have 2 years worth of reloads ready to blast away.
When all said and done I can finally NOT get caught with my proverbial pants down when the rush hits, And it hits EVERY SINGLE ELECTION without fail... And I will ride it out unscathed.
Two milk crates, each holding two ammo cans, can be covered with anything to make a nice heavy end table.
I found a bamboo laundry hamper at Big Lots which was a snug fit. I turned it upside down.
I can reload for several years. When powder comes down I'll add some more. I'm also getting into collecting guns. My plan is 4 guns a year. I will also donate some regular money to NRA again. I'm not interest in being a member. The last time I was swamped with mail, offers, email spam and whatnot. I only want them to fight for our rights. I don't need a PDF or print magazine or anybody calling me. If gun control gets more intense I'll up my monthly donation a couple hundred bucks.
It's very easy to opt out of all such offers, emails, etc.
I can handle one magazine per month.
Thats what I tried but it didn't work. I called them and sent emails. They just kept sending me offers and emails.
I have. Bought some ammo and a few standard capacity G18 mags
