just curious really. haven't got the funds for a supressor. they sure are cool though.

what's the best barrel for supressed glocks?
could you use say a G17 barrel on a G19, and have it threaded?

There are a few companies to choose from. Bar-Sto, KKM, and a few others all make threaded barrels for Glocks and other guns.

Go here

EDIT:
Oops, it doesn't seem to be working right now, but usually you can select a threaded barrel and order it from that link.

I have never seen any factory barrels but I do own a Lone Wolf barrel threaded in 1/2 x 28 for 9mm and another one .578 x 28. for .45ACP. My camera broke and I am between cameras but here are a few pics.

Glock only sells OEM threaded barrels to government/military.

For everyone else, need to get an aftermarket threaded barrel.
As far as the best aftermarket barrel i can't say because everyone will argue that there product is better. So far as bang for buck i would say lonewolf is this best and comparable in accuracy to say a kkm or a bar-sto.

What's under your trigger gaurd? Is that the "tape switch" you were talking about? How does it work?

Thanks!

EMT it works very well! When you apply pressure (tighten grip) light comes on, release pressure (loosen grip) light goes off! I love it I think if you have a Surefire light it is a must have accessory! It will work with all of the Surefire X lights (200A-B, 300)
Use a Lone Wolf.

Hmm cool. I have an M3 and a TLR-1 and I like their on/temp. swtches...but that seems like a cool idea.

As for the barrel, I've been debating whether to get a threaded barrel or a plain barrel for my G19 (that I can also use on my G26). However, since I haven't been attracted to the idea of a 9mm suppressor...I'll probably go with a plain steel barrel and LWD seems cheapest.

Thanks!:)

I would opt for the threaded barrel. The reason being is you could add a thread protector on the end and you could use a compensator if you like and in the event that you changed your mind on getting a 9mm suppressor you won't have the added cost of getting yet another barrel. Just my .02 it's worth what you paid for it! LOL! Anyway, I go back and forth on what my next NFA purchase would be!

Is LWD the cheapest??

You raise a good point about the threaded barrel. I guess it couldn't hurt.

I will be getting this for the G19 AND G26 though. Hopefully the miniscule extra weight wouldn't matter.

As far as NFA...I'd really like to get a .308 suppressor and/or a short barreled rifle.

The LWD is by far the cheapest but I don't know how you feel about the Wolf Logo on top. For my first barrel from them it is marked with the logo and I don't like it. My second barrel I had it blind marked where they put the wolf on the bottom of the barrel. The wierd thing is that was extra! As far as the 308 can. I just sent my bbl for my 700P off to get threaded. I can't wait to get it back because that is what I'm currently working on. IIRC when you buy your suppressor for .308 you should be able to shoot many of the .30 cal rounds like .338, .300WSM .300 whisper etc. Then after that a SBR. I want the DPMS Kitty Kat the length anyway(7") I can't afford the full auto version.

I don't mind the marking. I just want a barrel that I can shoot cast bullets through.

Thanks!

The only Glock "factory" threaded barrel I ever saw was posted by a member somewhere in Finland (? I think).

It was a "17 pro". Not sold in USA.
