I have a Frigidaire Gallery front loading washing machine that lately has taken to lighting up the digital display at all hours of the day and night.

I can turn it off and it will come back on.

    New washer time?

I have had some really good luck searching on the 'net to repair my appliances.
I could have bought a new fridge and dryer, but so far I've been able to search then do the diagnostics and buy the parts and replace them.
Probobly a couple K ahead doing it all myself with these repairs.

Control board/display. $100, some of your time..

I have repaired every appliance in this house at one time or another. Like Averageman, I am ahead both in repair costs and replacement appliance costs..

I've been selling them for 9 years.

Sorry to say that Frigidaire is the worst product on the market (aside from Haier). Their cooking products aren't too terrible, but nothing else from them is worth two ****s.

I have no answers for you. Good luck!

Asking "Is there an Expert on GT"????

You should be asking "Who isn't an Expert". The responses will be shorter.....

I've recieved excellent advice from the professionals at the forum below.

    http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/

It's been so helpful that I willingly pay more for parts from their site. And I've used their liberal return policy without issue.

Thump it real hard on the side. That should do it.

Though I am out of field slightly. I am qualified to operate a toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher loading (but not unloading, quals havent come back yet), opening the freezer, getting stuff out, putting stuff in, sometimes forgetting a quick chill beer, sorta cleaning up spilled half frozen beer in freezer, Certification in Microwave programming (below burrito), oven minute timer setting, refrigerator beer placement, manual can opener, disposal reset button finding and pushing, Advanced Blender Operation and Waffle Iron.

Come to me for all your appliance questions.
